TRANSFER OF INNOVATIVE SKILLS FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF AGRICULTURAL ENTREPRENEURS
The AgriSkills project aims to bridge the gap between the labor market needs in the field of agriculture and the lack of knowledge and skills among people from rural areas. It intends to develop and improve the level of key competences and skills of inhabitants of rural areas,
with the purpose to help them improving or starting their own business. In addition, it is supposed to train and present options to disadvantaged young adults from rural and remote areas, in ICT skills, entrepreneurial and social skills in order to raise their level of employability.
In addition to agricultural skills, this project developed modules to support the development of ICT, business and social skills.
Each partner in the Agriskills project carried out their own investigation of the competence profile of the target population in their respective countries.
After identifying the training needs of youth in rural areas, the Agriskills association has developed innovative teaching materials.
This project also aims to support skills that will help young adults build their own profitable businesses by providing training materials.
